Round 22 in the NRL
Round 22 is all about the top eight, with the finals cut-off the line every side is measured against. Penrith lead the way on 34 points from the Roosters on 32, while the Warriors and Cronulla sit level on 30. The tighter picture is lower down: the Cowboys hold eighth on 26 points, the same tally as Newcastle in seventh and South Sydney in sixth, so any slip opens the door for Canterbury, ninth on 24 and chasing a premiership finals berth.
Plenty rides on Thursday, when North Queensland host the Roosters at 7:50 pm AET with the visitors rated 1.53 and the Cowboys at 2.5. Cronulla host South Sydney on Sunday at 2:00 pm AET, the market putting the Sharks at 1.28 and the Rabbitohs at 3.7. There is also a seventh-placed test on Saturday as Brisbane host Newcastle at 7:35 pm AET, with the Broncos at 1.47 and the Knights at 2.7.
