Round 21 in the AFL
Round 21 is all about the top ten, with the first six on the ladder headed straight to the finals and positions seven through ten playing off in the wildcard round. Fremantle sit clear on top with 68 points, ahead of Sydney, Hawthorn and Brisbane. The tighter fight is at the cutoff: Melbourne hold sixth on 48, level with the seventh placed Western Bulldogs, while Collingwood (46) and Geelong (44) are trying to climb out of wildcard territory and St Kilda cling to tenth.
The round opens with a straight shootout for that finals berth as Collingwood host Geelong at the MCG on Thursday 30 July at 7:30 pm AET, with the market rating Geelong at 1.80 and the Magpies at 2.02. Melbourne carry sixth spot to People First Stadium against Gold Coast on Sunday 2 August at 3:15 pm AET (the Demons at 1.67, Gold Coast at 2.20). Ladder leaders Fremantle host the Bulldogs on Friday 31 July at 8:10 pm AET, priced at 1.10 with Western Bulldogs a price of $7.
